Our second Lycée Day of the year went off without a hitch. Students participated in a number of classes and workshops, including sessions led by faculty, community members, and other students. The diverse range of offerings included classes such as War in the Age of Reason, Why Does Baseball Matter?, Barbershop Harmony, Knitting 101, Living Trans History: A Performative Workshop, Capoeira, How to Paint “Little Mens”: Intersections of Art and Gaming, Tattoos, Cheese 101: Around the World and Back, and Are You Sure You’re Not a Zombie? The entire school also participated in a panel and question and answer session focused on the issue of homelessness in Roanoke. Thank you to all of our organizers and instructors!
