Classes at Community High are small. Nowhere is this more evident than in the Foreign Language department, where we offer Spanish, Latin, French and German, all at multiple levels and all in intimate and individually focused environments. This intimacy allows our faculty to concentrate on each student’s strengths and weaknesses, and to reinforce speaking skills in ways not possible in larger classrooms. Our students routinely excel in evaluations such as the National Latin Exam. Several of our Spanish students participate in an annual exchange program with Colegio Domingo Savio, a school in Bolivia, and have gone on to develop complete fluency. Whenever possible, we employ native speakers.
