One of the fundamental goals of any good school is to help students become engaged citizens. At Community High, we do this by supplementing traditional curricula with a focus on the methods of inquiry used by Social Scientists in disciplines ranging from History to Anthropology to Philosophy. We offer an unusually wide variety of courses, including both conventional offerings such as American History and more unusual courses such as Archaeology. We strive to teach these classes in ways that develop cross-curricular understanding. Faculty in the Arts and Sciences participate actively in Social Science course design and classroom teaching to strengthen our interdisciplinary focus.
