The Community High Performance Band is not your typical high school band. There are no uniforms or marching to be found. If there are horns they probably will be at stage right instead of on the fifty yard line. The drums are assembled in a kit formation and with generally one lone soul beating them. The rest of the stage covered with amplifiers, keyboards, microphone and instrument cables. Our musicians smiling as they play music that they choose or even write.
Guided by John McBroom, a musician with a massive resume, the student involved in band will understand what it takes to be the musician that they want to be. Assisted by Mike Maycock, John is able to embed the work ethic that is required for a musician to succeed inside of a band situation and out.
